Love Lethbridge Youth is a Christ-centered group with the objective of discipling youth in their pursuit of Jesus Christ. These young men and women will be different – they will carry a biblical foundation that emphasizes service, purity, and love.
We meet every Thursday night. We have 3 different types of evenings:
- Love on Lethbridge Night: This is what we call our service nights, first Thursday of every month, when we go out and serve the City of Lethbridge or even individual members within the Free Grace congregation by picking up garbage, doing food drives, and helping out in the yard or even around the house. We believe acts of service are crucial in demonstrating the Christian qualities of humility, servitude, and selflessness. It’s also crucial in our goal of building a program and a movement larger than ourselves. These events will usually be off-site and sometimes start earlier than 7:00.
- Kingdom Night: These occur the second and fourth Thursdays of every month. The idea is centered around inviting the Holy Spirit in through worship, teaching, and fellowship. Each of these nights feature a worship time, a teaching brought by one of our youth leaders or a guest, followed by a fellowship time with snacks and games.
- Fun Night: These nights are focused on playing hard and occur the third Thursday of every month. We believe events like these are crucial in building relationships and trust, both between leaders and youth as well as between the youth themselves. They range from playing board games to running around outside, and even going off-site.
Age Admission: September-December semester: everyone between the ages of 12 and 17 is welcome to attend. Kids who are currently 11 but turning 12 in 2021 are welcome to attend as well. Youth who are turning 18 in 2021 are considered graduated.
January-June semester: everyone between the ages of 12 and 17 is welcome to attend, as well as those turning 18 in 2022.
